Patch is the friendly one.
He waves at everybody, knows absolutely no strangers, and has the permanently enthusiastic expression of someone who just discovered fall exists.
Every autumn, Patch appears with messy air-plant hair, a crooked pumpkin smile, and absolutely no intention of behaving himself.
Light
Bright indirect light. Near a window is perfect. Avoid direct afternoon sun.
Water
Mist 1–2 times per week, or soak for 20 minutes every 1–2 weeks. Shake off excess water.
Air
Good airflow is essential. Never leave sitting in standing water — they need to dry out between waterings.
Temperature
Happy between 50–90°F. Keep away from cold drafts and heating vents.
Fertilizer
Optional but helpful. Use bromeliad or air plant fertilizer once a month for faster growth and blooms.
Signs of happiness
Vibrant color, upright leaves, new growth from center. A happy air plant may even bloom!
